Moonlight

Well, this proves that I'm stupid. A long while ago I put up a preview picture in my gallery (which I will soon be moving to scraps) about this piece. But I never uploaded the finished piece itself. *smacks head* So here it is.

He nodded as he escorted her out to the garden where the moonlight gave enough of a glow that the plants could be seen. Some of the night blooming plants that Jander had planted years ago still strived, and their petals glowed with the light. The white night blooming roses, Jander's favorite, still decorated the low stone walls and climbed up various pots and benches. Drizzt released her hand and seated himself on one of the benches, he himself looking like one of the roses as his thick hair caught the moonlight. His eyes shone in the dark, two piercing lavender orbs that heavily reflected his state of mind at the moment. He was quiet for a long time, and when he did speak his voice was soft and sad.

"I've never liked the fact that I had to leave you for so long."

"No one did, but it had to be done," she replied, placing her hand upon his. He looked up at her and cupped her chin with his fingers.

"It tore me to be away from you." He looked at the ground. "I now don't know what to say to my own son, nor what to expect from him, or myself."
